Why OmniGen? 

In France, Laurent and Michel were among the  first users of OmniGen incorporated into the Cristalor Omnicell minerals from Sanders **, with almost 10 years of use. Their Sanders technician, Vincent Feher, offered them to participate in the OmniGen trials. 
After the 6 months of official testing, the results confirmed improvements in the overall health of the herd. A few weeks after the end of this test, some problems reappeared such as mastitis. 

After considering the investment that OmniGen represented, Laurent Gournail and Michel Maret decided to introduce Cristalor Omnicell in the ration. 
"In a herd like we have, when you don't sleep with the cows, even if you spend time there, you need an effective system. The robots signaled us constantly with alerts, whereas, we sought to have more serenity. 

What are the results today with OmniGen? 

"Don't put OmniGen in and say I don't take care of anything anymore either!  It’s not a magic fairy dust, we still have to work on the basics to achieve the best results." 
OmniGen works even more if the cows' immune system is strengthened by a quality ration, good mineralization and obviously a healthy environment for our cows.  
Michel and Laurent regularly have their herds nutrition checked by Vincent Feher of Sanders to ensure their nutritional needs are covered.  All dry cows  also covered in OmniGen.  

With the use of OmniGen, Laurent was not only able to observe a sharp drop in cases of Mastitis E. Coli during hot periods, but, throughout the whole year. 
“apart from very few explainable mastitis cases, We no longer treat any mastitis,  The ones that do happen are usually due to a breakdown on the robot or  a disinfection that was not applied well. 
But that's not all, Our antibiotic usage dropped from  an average of 15 euros per 1000L to 7 or 8 euros. Plus, we work every day to continue to improve our herd health with better facilities etc.  
There also seems to be  a decrease in failed calving’s  and cases of metritis, we think with OmniGen helping with improving the immune system also helps support  our good reproduction monitoring and increasingly worked calving preparation. 

The conclusion? 

"Indeed, OmniGen is an investment and we are looking to see a return! Here we have calmness, with better overall health. There is also a saving of vet fees when you treat much less and save time.
